Habitat IV’s “Team Work” Day!
Employees can build a sense of pride while building a brighter tomorrow for those in need. Team Building Day are a fun-fulfilled, rewarding event that will:
• Foster Teamwork, Encourage Unity and Improve Employee Moral
• Find Fulfillment in Giving While Positively Impact the Local Community
• Break Down Barriers, Improve Communication, and Get to Know Each Other Better outside the office
• Build Goodwill and Visibility Within the Community
• Receive Marketing Recognition (social media, team photo, signage at project site, etc.)
A Brush with Kindness
Groups of 8-25 come together to paint the exterior of a low income senior/veteran home. We do 2-3 projects per month and most of these are in the Menifee, Sun city and Homeland area.
This is a half day project and can be schedules Wed-Saturday.
Other option: Menifee Better Together in April (last Saturday in April each year) - over 700 people come together for a day of service to clean up and beautify areas of Menifee and Sun City. This is an all age friendly event. CLICK HERE for a recap. We serve 15+ seniors with weed abetment, plant trimming and landscaping.
New Home Construction
In year 2022 we hope to have our 6 homes underway in Temecula. Swing hammers and building is always fun! We hope to break ground on a single family home in Lake Elsinore later this year.
This is a half day project and can be schedules Wed-Saturday.
Encompassed in this is our Women Build during the 2nd week of March of each local women leaders from all different sectors (business, legislation, service orgs, etc) come together to help us build homes for families. CLICK HERE for a recap video.
Playhouse Build
This is a fun team build day where teams of 7-12 assemble and paint wooden kits. After completion these playhouses will be given to local families and non profits.
This is a half day project and can be schedules Tuesday-Saturday.
Join us at a Blitz Build event were we build multiple playhouses with different groups on the same day! At our spring 2022 build day our goal is to complete and donate 10-15 playhouses.
Homes for Hounds
Join our annual event in January where we repurpose pallets into dog beds! Each year we partner with an animal organization and donate a portion of the completed beds to them. Others are sold and raffled in our ReStores to support our new home construction.
This is a week long event and build days can be Tuesday-Saturday.
Participate in an Event
1) Christmas Tree Lane - this is a magical event where we raffle off 15-20 professionally decorated trees. These are displayed for 5 weeks at the Temecula Promenade Mall then are raffled off right before Christmas so families can take them home to enjoy. This event is very visible, garners a lot of attention and has even been featured on KTLA. CLICK HERE for a visual.
2) Golf Tournament - this is one of our staple events and known as one of the most fun in the valley. Hosted in June at Temecula Creek Inn each year. It fills up fast and we will have a full field of 200 players. 2021 RECAP VIDEO
3) Lunges for Lumber - this is a first year initiative in September. People can participate virtually (like the "ice bucket" challenge) or at our in person "wellness" day. The goal being to raise awareness + support for our upcoming builds and get the community involved in a fun way.
