"I just wanted to email you with some pictures of this great kitchen island project that we completed using an old set of cupboards from your shop. I am beyond thrilled with the way it came out and we saved tons of $$$ by doing it ourselves. We purchased a butcher block top at IKEA and extended the length with banister posts. We love the store and have purchased many things there including a full set of landscape lighting that we have used to light up our whole backyard!

I wish more people knew that they could use the store as a great resource for home improvement as well as making a great contribution."
Best,
~Trisha Handy

The DIY Blog: Creating a forum for the many uses of ReStore

Here at the Temecula and Lake Elsinore ReStores, we see it all. Our customers range from the average every day homeowner, to the general contractor, to the high-brow artist -- and everything in between.

Loose tiles like these pictured above can be used in everything from home improvement projects to mosaic art pieces. We have thousands of them at our ReStore locations.

Here at the Temecula and Lake Elsinore ReStores, we see it all. Our customers range from the average every day homeowner, to the general contractor, to the high-brow artist… and everything in between.

The diversity of our clientele doesn't surprise us, but what does surprise us sometimes is the creative ways those loyal customers use the items we sell. Considering the thousands upon thousands of pieces of materials we have stocked in our warehouses, for sale at rock bottom prices, it really shouldn't surprise us at all.

Considering the popularity of upcycling these days spurred by websites like Pinterest and Upcycle That, more and more people are finding new and creative ways to use materials originally produced for one function and using them in many other ways.

Of course, there are a great many folks who use the ReStore materials to make significant home improvements at a fraction of the cost. There are those that restore older furniture, replace damaged furniture, find parts, even build their home from scratch.

And that is why we created this blog. We want to tell the stories of people who are using our ReStores to create, improve, dream, build! Tell us your story and we'll share it with every one we know!

If you would like to tell us about your latest project, e-mail Jeff Pack at jeffpack@redbuffalomedia.com and touch base!
